Ways to spend time in the physical world
The 48 hour offline retreat is one of these, not the point of it. Everything even hand runs uses the same room of people and the same rule: be where you are, with nothing in your hand. Status is stated on every item. Open means you can act today, forming means it is being built now, coming means committed direction with no date invented.
Offline retreats (Open)
The doorway in. Phones sealed at Hour 0, two nights off grid in India, returned at Hour 48 with an attention score and a written plan for the week you go back into. Seats are curated and applying takes no payment.
DEAD AIR (Open)
One day, ten hours, same rule. It opens before the retreat and is the cheapest way to find out what happens to you around hour three.
Dinners (Forming)
Twelve people, one table, a few hours, no phones and nothing recorded. City by city, starting where the list is thickest. Dates go to the community first.
Adventures (Coming)
Walks that are too long, cold water, altitude, nights outside. Discomfort chosen on purpose, in company, with nobody filming it.
Gatherings (Forming)
Not a conference. No stage, no badges, no networking. A small room where people say what they actually think because it is not being broadcast.
Challenges (Forming)
Time bound experiments with a start, an end and a number: a week without input, thirty days of one hard thing, a month of making instead of consuming.
Houses (Coming)
The long horizon. Places where the different default is simply how the building works, and you can stay long enough for it to stop being a novelty.
The community (Forming)
Everything above runs on the same room of people. Curious, contrarian, generous, willing to be uncomfortable. Joining is free and takes an email and a city.
Journal (Open)
Long form writing on why any of this matters. Free, no signup, nothing engineered to bring you back.
The attention test (Open)
A score out of 14 and a plain read on where your attention actually goes, plus a screen time calculator and an AI overuse test if you want the fuller picture.
Join
Joining even hand is free and takes an email and a city: dates, cities and new formats go to the community before they are public. Applying for a seat on the 48 hours also takes a phone number.
